Vanilla Coffee Syrup

Love vanilla lattes? Here is the perfect homemade vanilla syrup for your morning (or afternoon) cup!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/3 cup water

  • 1 vanilla bean, seeds scraped

  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Combine the sugar, water, scraped vanilla beans, whole bean and extract in a small saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Whisk constantly until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is bubbling.

  3. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 2 minutes stirring constantly.

  4. Let cool completely before storing in a jar.

    • You can leave the vanilla pod in for flavor or remove. Up to you!
